The technician came to my 4th floor condo to check my water heater. It was 18 years old on 01/03/2008. It needs a power vent for the 4th floor. The tech is certified in all aspects of plumbing. That is very important. He is coming Monday to install my new hot water heater. The price is very fair. I am glad I did my “homework” on this project.

After calling to let me know they were on the way to my home, two service men arrived on time, assessed the situation, and got right to work to identify and correct the problem with my double kitchen sink that had backed up during the time of the recent snow events in Chester. Given the weather conditions, I called the Dispatcher and said I didn't mind if they wanted to reschedule due to the weather, and forecasters were recommending not to get on the roads if you didn't have to. But they were on their way and arrived safely, immediately found the problem under the sink, flushed out the drains, making sure they were all cleared out, gathered their tools and were ready to be on their way to their next appointment!! The price was reasonable, their attention to detail was appreciated, and knowing what needed to be done (and done right!!) made a great nuisance of a problem an opper-tunity to thank those two gentlemen for a job well done!

THANKS FOR COMING THROUGH FOR ME!!! I discovered my main water valve spraying water in my crawl space on 1/24, the day we were expecting a blizzard. You guys made a really stressful and scary situation, into a happy ending. Out of about 10 places I called, only you could get to me the day of to fix my problem. When looking at different water heater brands, consider factors like your household size, daily hot water usage, energy efficiency, budget, and available space. You may also want to think about whether you want a conventional (tank) or tankless water heater.

Which water heater brands are known for their reliability?

Some of the most reliable water heater brands are Rhem, Navien, and Rinnai. Rheem even has a Marathon water heater that comes with a lifetime warranty.

Which water heater brands are the most energy efficient?

When it comes to energy-efficiency, there are a few things to consider:

  1. Gas vs. electric – gas water heaters are usually more efficient than electric. However, if you don’t have a gas line near your water heater, we would need to install one.
  2. Tankless vs. Conventional – tankless water heaters are often more energy-efficient than conventional ones. Hybrid water heaters are the best energy efficient option when gas is not available.

You can also look for the Energy Star rating on most water heaters to get an idea of how energy efficient they are.

Most water brands offer some combination of conventional, hybrid, tankless or all three types of water heaters.
