The technician came to my 4th floor condo to check my water heater. It was 18 years old on 01/03/2008. It needs a power vent for the 4th floor. The tech is certified in all aspects of plumbing. That is very important. He is coming Monday to install my new hot water heater. The price is very fair. I am glad I did my “homework” on this project.

After calling to let me know they were on the way to my home, two service men arrived on time, assessed the situation, and got right to work to identify and correct the problem with my double kitchen sink that had backed up during the time of the recent snow events in Chester. Given the weather conditions, I called the Dispatcher and said I didn't mind if they wanted to reschedule due to the weather, and forecasters were recommending not to get on the roads if you didn't have to. Tankless Hot Water Heater FAQs

Q: How much do tankless water heaters and installation cost?

A: Most residential tankless water heaters cost between $1,000 to $2,000 in materials. The installation runs anywhere between $2,000 to $4,000, provided that the new water heater is matched to the old system. The installation price will rise, however, if we need to install a gas line, new vent, or make other significant upgrades.

No job is too big for our experienced plumbers—the largest tankless system we installed was a commercial project for $17,000 that involved multiple heaters working together.

Q: Does Robinson’s Plumbing sell water heaters?

A: We only sell water heaters if you use us to install them. We’ll provide expert advice and help you select the right model to meet your needs. We will then install and warranty your new water heater.

Q: Should I opt for a gas or electric tankless water heater?

A: The choice between gas or electric tankless water heaters can affect your energy bill. If you decide to go with gas, keep in mind that if you don’t have a gas line that can supply sufficient BTUs to your new heater, your gas line will need to be upgraded. Electric tankless water heaters have lower heating capacities and are usually only suitable for one fixture group. There are trade offs with each, but we typically only recommend gas water heaters for whole house water heating.
